Police Inspect Campus of Famous Institute Over Exploitation Allegations Against Law Professor; Families Reluctant to File Complaint
Senior officials from the city police visited the premises of a famous institute on Thursday evening, October 15, following allegations of exploitation and misconduct leveled against a law professor.
During the visit, police officials inspected the campus grounds and spoke with various individuals, including institute staff, to gather preliminary facts regarding the matter. However, the formal investigation faces a critical roadblock: the student reported to be the victim, along with her family, has expressed complete reluctance to step forward or register a formal police complaint.
Meanwhile, the accused law professor has reportedly proceeded on leave ever since the allegations surfaced.
The controversy has deepened amid intense speculation suggesting that multiple female students, possibly from batches as far back as 2025, may have faced similar exploitation. Unverified accounts circulating within campus circles allege that the professor engaged in systematic manipulation and brainwashing, purportedly maintaining relationships with multiple students simultaneously.
Due to acute concerns over privacy and identity exposure, none of the suspected victims have come forward to make official statements or lodge complaints.
In the absence of a formal First Information Report (FIR), police authorities stated they are closely monitoring the developments and remain in contact with the institute's administration to review internal inquiry procedures.
