Sales rose 23% year on year from 61,295 units, with exports up 852% and electric vehicle sales up 75%.
Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd has released its sales figures for October 2026. The company did well in both the domestic and overseas markets, selling a total of 75,426 vehicles.
In October 2025, the company's sales were 61,295 vehicles. This year's sales show a strong year-on-year rise of 23% over that.
The company also did well overseas. Tata Motors sold 1,532 units abroad in October, against just 161 units in October last year. That is an 852% year-on-year rise in the company's international sales. Overseas sales, however, remained far below domestic sales.
Electric vehicle sales also saw a big jump in October. The company sold 16,244 electric vehicles across the domestic and overseas markets this month, compared with 9,286 units in October 2025. That is a 75% rise in EV sales in a year. The figures show that EV sales have grown along with the company's overall passenger vehicle sales.
Which company sold the most passenger vehicles in October will be known only when other carmakers release their sales reports. For now, only Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd has put out its October 2026 figures.
It would therefore not be right to compare Tata's sales with those of other companies and call any one company the top-selling passenger vehicle brand in October. The full picture for October may become clearer once the other companies' sales figures are out.
