The Staff Selection Commission has changed the tentative dates of the Junior Engineer Examination 2026 and the Sub-Inspector examination for Delhi Police and CAPFs.
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has changed the dates of two of its recruitment examinations. The tentative dates announced earlier for the Junior Engineer Examination 2026 and the Sub-Inspector examination 2026 for Delhi Police and the Central Armed Police Forces have been revised. According to the official notice, the revised dates apply to both computer-based recruitment examinations. Candidates appearing for these exams will now have to prepare according to the new dates.
The SSC announced the change in a notice issued on October 1, 2026. Paper-I of the Junior Engineer examination will now be held in two phases. The first phase will be held between November 2 and 6, 2026, and the second between November 30 and December 1, 2026. Paper-I will be held as a computer-based examination (CBE).
Under the earlier schedule, Junior Engineer Paper-I was to be held in a single phase between November 2 and 6. The same examination has now been split into two phases, meaning it will be held over two separate periods instead of one.
The schedule of the Delhi Police/CAPF or CPO 2026 examination has also changed. The examination was earlier to be held between November 20 and 28, 2026. It will now be held between November 23 and 28, 2026. The starting date has moved from November 20 to November 23, while the last date remains November 28.
Candidates preparing for the SSC JE and Delhi Police/CAPF SI 2026 examinations have been told to check the revised dates carefully and plan their studies accordingly. The SSC has also advised candidates to download the revised PDF notice with the examination dates from the official website.
Candidates should keep an eye on the commission's official website for admit cards. Since Junior Engineer Paper-I is to be held from November 2 to 6, its admit card is likely to be issued two to three days before the examination. It can be downloaded by logging in on the website. The examination city details for the JE examination have already been announced. The admit card for the CAPF Sub-Inspector recruitment examination may also be issued two to three days before the examination.
To view the revised examination calendar, candidates should first open the SSC's official website, ssc.gov.in. They should click on the SSC notice on the notice board on the home page and then click on the relevant link to open the PDF. The revised dates of the SSC JE and SSC SI examinations will be shown there. The notice should be downloaded and kept for future use.
