An alleged statement by actress Tanushree Dutta has set off fresh discussion in the entertainment world. The statement concerns veteran actor Nana Patekar. It is claimed that, in a video shared on social media, Tanushree used the words "evil dead" for Patekar.
Actress Rozlyn Khan was angered by this. She shared her own video on social media, criticised Tanushree and expressed strong displeasure.
In her video, Rozlyn objected directly to Tanushree's statement. She said Tanushree had come into the spotlight because of the #MeToo case involving Nana Patekar, and citing this, she questioned Tanushree's reaction. Rozlyn's view is that Tanushree should have been more sensitive while speaking about Patekar.
According to Rozlyn, it would have been more appropriate if Tanushree had expressed sympathy for Patekar and said that his soul should rest in peace. But Tanushree's alleged statement made Rozlyn angry.
In the video, Rozlyn spoke sternly to Tanushree. She said that if journalists question Tanushree on this issue, the discussion that follows could prove to be her last news. Rozlyn also said the matter involving Nana Patekar should now end.
Rozlyn's reaction also suggests that sensitivity should be shown when speaking about a person who has no chance to put forward their side.
In 2018, during the #MeToo movement in the Indian entertainment industry, allegations and counter-allegations involving Tanushree Dutta and Nana Patekar drew attention. Rozlyn Khan's reaction to Tanushree's alleged social media statement has now brought the issue back into the headlines.
