Anticipation for the much-awaited film Ramayanam is growing by the day. The makers have now released new posters showing Arun Govil as King Dasharatha and Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram. The posters offer a glimpse of the emotional bond between Ram and Dasharatha.

The film is being produced by Namit Malhotra, and audiences are being introduced to the world of the epic and its key characters step by step. Earlier, posters of actor Lara Dutta as Queen Kaikeyi and Sheeba Chadha as Manthara had been released. With the posters of King Dasharatha and Lord Ram, expectations have risen further.

In the first poster, King Dasharatha is seen blessing Ram, who is kneeling before him. The moment, which shows the affection and love between father and son, recalls important events in their lives. Along with the warmth of the relationship, the scene underlines the importance of a promise and of duty.

In the second poster, Lord Ram is seen standing in river water performing the ritual of immersing ashes. Set against lush greenery, the scene is deeply sombre and emotional. The poster offers a glimpse of a painful moment in Ram's life.

Sharing the posters on social media, the makers also wrote an emotional caption: "A father bound by a promise. A son bound by duty. Neither knew that this moment of parting would be their last meeting." With these words, they underscored the significance of the relationship.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayanam stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Ravie Dubey as Lakshmana and Arun Govil as King Dasharatha. The characters played by these actors are adding to the anticipation for the film.

The film is produced by Namit Malhotra's Prime Focus Studios in collaboration with DNEG and Yash's Monster Mind Creations. Grand visuals and a big-screen presentation of the epic will be its main attraction.

Ramayanam will be released in two parts. The first part will reach audiences worldwide on Diwali 2026 and the second on Diwali 2027. The film will be released in five languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.

Sony Pictures is responsible for distribution outside India, while Dharma Productions will distribute the film in the Hindi-speaking market. The film will also be released in IMAX theatres around the world. Audiences will now have to wait to experience the grand Indian epic on the big screen.
