Mumbai Police have issued a notice to Bollywood actor Imran Khan asking him to leave India by October 28. The actor has received a copy of the notice.

Khan had taken part in a protest at Kranti Maidan in Mumbai a few days ago. The protest was held to demand the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Police had detained a number of people during the protest, and the actor was among those involved.

Khan holds US citizenship. Because he is not an Indian citizen and took part in such a protest in India, action has been taken against him under the relevant sections of immigration law.

Since joining the CJP protest, Khan has been in the news continuously for the past few days. With this notice, his troubles appear to be mounting. Imran Khan is the nephew of Aamir Khan.
