Indri, the single malt whisky from Piccadily Distilleries, has launched its much-awaited Diwali Collector's Edition 2026 in India. A rare release matured in ruby port casks, it has been crafted by master blender Surinder Kumar. It was first presented internationally in London before coming to India.

The edition made its international debut in London, opening a new chapter in Indri's annual Collector's Edition series. It was then shown at The Whisky Show in London, where well-known whisky writers, critics, connoisseurs, collectors and industry experts received it well. This has further strengthened Indri's place among the most talked-about and acclaimed single malt whiskies in the world.

This is the fourth edition of Indri's annual festive series. The limited edition is bottled at 50% ABV (alcohol by volume), and only 600 individually numbered bottles are available for the Indian market.

The whisky is made from six-row barley and distilled in traditional copper pot stills. It is then matured in the subtropical climate of north India in specially selected ruby port wine casks from Portugal. The richness of an Indian single malt and the fruit layers of a fine fortified wine combine to give it a distinctive depth and elegance.

The nose opens with abundant black cherry, wild berries and ripe plum. The palate then settles into honeyed fruit, roasted nuts, toffee, vanilla and soft fig. A long, fruity finish completes the experience.

The bottle's packaging has been designed by Krishna Mehta, founder of India Circus and a well-known designer. Inspired by Indian miniature art and royal heritage, the design features jewel tones, delicate floral engraving and artwork around a Marwari horse and its foal. These stand for lineage, ancestry and continuity.

Surinder Kumar said the Diwali Collector's Edition has played a very important role in Indri's journey and in the story of Indian single malt around the world. According to him, the 2023 edition's recognition as the "World's Best Whisky" was a historic moment, not only for Indri but also for the belief that Indian single malts can stand with the world's finest whiskies with confidence.

He said, "With the 2026 ruby port cask edition, we wanted to take this story further. It brings together the richness of Indian single malt, the elegance of fine ruby port casks and the artistry of India's cultural heritage. Limited to just 600 individually numbered bottles, this edition is made not merely to celebrate Diwali, but to celebrate the rise of Indian whisky."

On awards, Indri Diwali Collector's Edition was recognised as the "World's Best Whisky" at the Whiskies of the World Awards 2023. This whisky has won Double Gold with 96 points at the USA Spirits Ratings 2026, where it also received the "Indian Single Malt Whisky of the Year" and "Spirit of the Year - India" honours. It won Gold at the World Whisky Masters 2026 and the New York World Spirits Competition 2026, and Gold at the Asia World Spirits Competition 2026 in Singapore. In all, the series has won 29 international awards.

Indri Diwali Collector's Edition 2026 Ruby Port Cask will be available in India from mid-October. It comes in a 700 ml bottle at 50% ABV and, in the domestic market, will be limited to 600 individually numbered bottles in Gurugram, Chandigarh and Bengaluru. For international travellers, the 58.5% ABV international edition will be available at select duty-free stores in Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bengaluru, and at Dubai Duty Free.
