Honda Cars India has launched the facelifted version of its mid-size SUV Elevate in the Indian market. The ex-showroom price of the new Elevate starts at Rs 11.80 lakh.

The base SV variant is priced the same as the older model, while the V, VX and ZX variants have become slightly costlier. The range also gains a new top-spec ZX+ variant, priced at Rs 16.80 lakh.

The company has made no major change to the design, and the overall body of the vehicle remains the same. The difference is visible at the front, which gets a large black grille, a new horizontal LED lighting signature and an updated front bumper. The alloy wheel design is also new. The changes make the SUV look more premium than before.

One of the most important updates in the new Elevate is a factory-fitted 360-degree camera, which shows different views around the vehicle on the central touchscreen. The top variant also gets ventilated seats and an 8-way powered driver's seat. These are expected to give customers more comfort in everyday driving as well as on long journeys.

The engine is unchanged. The facelift continues with the earlier 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, which produces 121 hp of power and 145 Nm of torque. Both a 6-speed manual and a CVT automatic are offered. Honda has not given it the strong hybrid technology found in the City.

On safety and space, the Elevate retains its 458-litre boot capacity and 220 mm ground clearance. Thanks to the Honda Sensing package, the top variant gets Level 2 ADAS features, including Adaptive Cruise Control, Collision Mitigation Braking and Lane Keep Assist. It also comes with 6 airbags and an EPB, and the CVT variants have rear disc brakes as well.

With the arrival of the ZX+, the Elevate's top price has risen to Rs 16.80 lakh. In the market, it will compete with the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun.
