Honda Elevate facelift to launch on October 6, pre-bookings open at Rs 21,000
Honda has opened pre-bookings for the facelifted Elevate mid-size SUV for a token amount of Rs 21,000, ahead of its official launch on October 6.
Honda is preparing to bring the facelift version of its mid-size SUV, the Honda Elevate, to the market. The automobile sector has been waiting for the new vehicle for some time, and it is now generating considerable buzz.
The SUV will be officially launched on October 6. The global launch of the new model is taking place in a key market such as India. The company has also started pre-bookings, with a token amount of just Rs 21,000. The SUV will compete strongly with popular vehicles such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Tata Sierra.
The company has made major changes to the facelift model, both outside and inside. The biggest difference will be seen at the front. It has a new sleek LED DRL (daytime running lamp), and the illuminated light signature is split into three separate segments. The front grille pattern has been changed and the Honda logo is now placed in a new position. A twin LED tail-lamp strip has been added at the rear, giving the SUV a bolder and sportier rear look than before.
Several new elements have been added to the cabin to give customers a better experience. A light colour theme has been used on the dashboard. Ambient lighting has also been provided to give the cabin a more upmarket look.
On features, the vehicle is highly likely to get advanced features such as a large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, ventilated front seats and a 360-degree camera. For safety, it already comes with the Honda Sensing (ADAS) package. With the upgraded features, the vehicle will be even safer for passengers.
There is no change in the mechanicals. The company has retained the same trusted 1.5-litre, four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine. The engine produces 121 PS of power and 145 Nm of torque. Both a 6-speed manual and a CVT automatic gearbox are offered for transmission.
The price will be revealed at the official launch on October 6. Given the design and upgraded features, the price is expected to be slightly higher than that of the current model.
