Honda to launch new Elevate in India on October 6, bookings open at Rs 21,000
Honda says the updated Elevate SUV will debut worldwide in India on October 6, 2026, with bookings open from October 1 for Rs 21,000.
Honda is bringing its best-selling SUV, the Elevate, in a new form. The company has said the new Honda Elevate will be launched in India on October 6, 2026. Notably, the vehicle will be unveiled in India before any other market in the world, which shows how much importance the company gives to the Indian market.
The vehicle has not arrived yet, but bookings have begun. From October 1, anyone can visit their nearest Honda showroom and book the new Elevate by paying just Rs 21,000. The company has not announced the price or which features will come with which variant. That will be known only on launch day, October 6. The company says the new Elevate will look more attractive, carry more features and feel more premium inside.
Honda has released a few pictures and teasers of the new Elevate. They suggest considerable changes to the front of the vehicle, including a new grille design and new LED lights. The Honda logo, earlier on the grille, has now been moved to the bonnet. At the rear, a connected LED light bar has been added. The bumper and other parts have also been modestly changed.
The teasers show the interior has changed as well. The seat covers are light in colour, and ambient lighting has been provided on the dashboard and doors. The biggest change is a 360-degree camera, which will show a view all around the vehicle while parking. The front seats will also get ventilation. Neither feature was available in the older Elevate. A large 10.25-inch touchscreen will also be offered. The company has not said whether all these features will be in every variant or only in the top model.
The company is not making many changes to the engine. The same 1.5-litre petrol engine as in the older Elevate will continue. There will be two gearbox options, a 6-speed manual and a CVT automatic. The emphasis this time is on design and features.
In the market, the new Elevate will compete directly with the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq and Tata Sierra. These vehicles sell in large numbers in this segment.
What remains to be seen is how Honda prices the new Elevate. The older Elevate starts at Rs 11 lakh, and the new one could be slightly costlier. Everything will become clear on October 6.
