Hero MotoCorp has launched a Classic Edition of its Destini 110 family scooter with neo-retro styling and two dual-tone colours, with no change to the engine.

Ahead of the festive season, Hero MotoCorp has launched a new Classic Edition of its family scooter Destini 110 in the Indian market. The scooter is priced at Rs 76,400 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and is available at the company's dealerships.

The new edition has a neo-retro styling touch. It also comes with two new dual-tone colour options, fresh graphics and a few cosmetic updates.

The scooter comes in Matte Goldfish Silver with Light Industrial Grey and in Matte Eris Brown. The first colour has brown inner panels, while the second has black inner panels. New stripes have been added on the front handle cover and the side panels. The mirrors, seat and inner panels match the colour. A 3D badge and branded rim tape have also been added to give the Classic Edition a distinct identity. All these changes are limited to the design. There is no change to the engine or the mechanical setup.

The engine is a 110cc unit as before, generating 8.5 PS of power and 8.7 Nm of torque. It comes with Hero's i3S technology. If the scooter stays stationary for a while, the system switches the engine off automatically and starts it again as soon as the throttle is given. This helps cut wasteful fuel consumption in traffic. The scooter also has an LED projector headlamp, LED tail lamp, position lamp, a digital-analogue speedometer and alloy wheels.

For the convenience of family buyers, it has a 785mm long seat, which the company claims is the longest in its segment. It has 12-inch wheels at both front and rear, with a 100/80-12 tyre at the back. For luggage, there is a 19-litre under-seat storage, a front storage compartment, mobile charging and a boot lamp.

In the Indian market, the scooter will compete with the Honda Activa 110 and the TVS Jupiter 110. The Suzuki Access 125 is also an option for buyers. With the new colours and classic look, the Destini 110 is trying to build a distinct identity in the family scooter segment.
