Gadchandur police arrest two from Yavatmal district over tractor trolley theft, recover Rs 5.7 lakh in goods

The DB squad of Gadchandur police station has solved the theft of a tractor trolley and detained two accused from Yavatmal district. A tractor trolley was stolen from Mauja Asan on September 30, 2026, and Purushottam Dhengale had filed the complaint. Police have recovered the stolen trolley, worth Rs 70,000, and also seized the Rs 5 lakh tractor used in the crime. Goods worth Rs 5.70 lakh in all have been seized.
Purushottam Bhaurao Dhengale, a resident of Mauja Asan, filed a complaint at Gadchandur police station on September 30, 2026. He said an unknown thief had taken away his N.K. company tractor trolley (MH 34 CR 4603) from Mauja Asan. On this complaint, Gadchandur police registered a case under Section 303(2) against an unknown person, vide crime number 489/26, and began an investigation.
During the investigation, the Gadchandur DB squad got a significant lead on the basis of an informant and technical investigation. Acting on it, police launched a search operation and detained two suspects: Pranay Vijay Jivane (26), a resident of Ghonsa, Wani taluka, Yavatmal district, and Raj Nikant Balaji Wallarwar (36), a resident of Rasa, Wani taluka, Yavatmal district.
Police questioned both men thoroughly, and they confessed to stealing the tractor trolley from Mauja Asan (Khurd), police said. In the presence of panch witnesses, police then seized the stolen N.K. company trolley from the accused. It is valued at Rs 70,000. They also took possession of the Yuvo Tech company tractor used in the theft. The tractor, registration MH 29 CJ 1749, is valued at Rs 5 lakh. In all, goods worth Rs 5.70 lakh have been seized. Police are now investigating the case further.
The action was carried out under the guidance of the Superintendent of Police, Chandrapur, the Additional Superintendent of Police and the Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Gadchandur. It was executed by Gadchandur police station in-charge Pramod Banbale, sub-inspector Pankaj Hekad, head constable Shital Borkar, naik police constable Balwant Sharma, constable Sainath Upare, and constables Suraj and Prakash.
