Young people preparing for government jobs have an opportunity in the Indian Coast Guard. It has invited applications for a total of 365 posts, including Navik, Yantrik and Hygienist-1. Educational qualifications of Class 10, Class 12 or a diploma are required, depending on the post.

The last date for online applications is today, October 21, 2026. Those who wish to apply should not wait until the last moment. They should first check their eligibility and then fill in the form.

Candidates will be selected for the posts of Navik (General Duty) (GD), Navik (Domestic Branch) (DB), Yantrik and Hygienist-1. Eligibility differs for each post, and applicants have been urged to read the conditions for the post before filling in the form.

For Navik (GD), candidates must have passed Class 12, with mathematics and physics as subjects. For Navik (DB), candidates who have passed Class 10 can apply.

The Yantrik post requires an engineering diploma in the relevant discipline, covering subjects related to mechanical, electrical or electronics engineering. The prescribed qualification for Hygienist-1 is Class 10. Passing Class 10 or 12 alone is not enough for every post, so applicants should confirm their education and the other requirements before applying.

The age requirement varies by post and batch. For some posts the age limit is between 18 and 22 years, while other posts have a different limit. Reserved categories may get age relaxation as per the rules. Applicants should consult the official notification for accurate details of the application fee and concessions, and confirm the fee for their category before paying.

Selection will be in several stages. These include a computer-based written examination, a physical fitness test, document verification and a medical test.

Eligible candidates can apply on the Coast Guard's official website. They should open the website, view the recruitment notification, then go to the application link and fill in the required details. Details of education and other necessary documents must be entered. The application fee should be paid where applicable. The form should be checked carefully before it is submitted. Applicants should not forget to download a copy of the completed application.
