Nagpur: Police have made a major breakthrough in the Bhandewadi murder case in Nagpur. Aman alias Nato Kaitwar, the alleged main conspirator who had been absconding for about three months, has been arrested from Uttar Pradesh. The case relates to the killing of Ganesh alias Gurudev Borkar in the Hanuman Nagar area. Police had earlier arrested four accused, including the victim's wife Manisha Borkar.

According to police, on the night of July 2, three masked assailants attacked Ganesh Borkar, 45, with sharp weapons in Hanuman Nagar, under the Bhandewadi police station limits. Borkar died in the attack. Police registered a murder case after the incident and began an investigation.

During the probe, police took into custody Borkar's wife Manisha Borkar, Abhishek alias Dadu Sakhare, Rohit Borkar and a minor. Four accused were arrested in the subsequent action. The arrest of Aman Kaitwar is another step forward in the investigation.

Police said Aman alias Nato Kaitwar was allegedly involved in the conspiracy to commit the murder and had been absconding since the incident. After receiving information that he was hiding in Uttar Pradesh, police acted there and arrested him.

The investigation also found that Ganesh Borkar and his wife Manisha were in a domestic dispute and living separately. It is alleged that the murder was plotted over this dispute and that Borkar was killed through a contract killing. However, confirmation of the exact role of each accused in the conspiracy depends on the police investigation and the court process.

After the arrest, Kaitwar was produced in court, which ordered that he be kept in police custody till October 16. Police are questioning the accused and investigating other aspects of the murder.
