After his arrest, Kaitwar was produced in court, which ordered that he be sent to police custody till October 16. Police are now interrogating him.
According to police, the incident took place on the night of July 2 in the Hanuman Nagar area under Bhandewadi police station limits. Ganesh alias Gurudev Borkar, 45, was attacked with sharp weapons by three unidentified masked assailants. Borkar died in the attack.
Police began an investigation after the incident. The victim's wife Manisha Borkar, Abhishek alias Dadu Sakhare, Rohit Borkar and a minor have already been arrested. However, the alleged main conspirator, Aman alias Nato Kaitwar, had been absconding since the incident.
