Residents of several areas will face supply disruption, with some nodes losing water for 24 hours a week and others getting supply on alternate days.
Residents of Navi Mumbai may face disruption in water supply this week. The City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) has cut water supply by 15 per cent in its areas. The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has announced a 10-hour shutdown for pipeline maintenance on Tuesday, November 3.
The restrictions are expected to affect many residential areas. Some places will have no water for a full 24 hours, while others will get supply on alternate days. Residents have been advised to make the necessary arrangements and use the available water carefully.
CIDCO's 15 per cent cut came into effect on Monday, November 2, and will continue until further notice. Under it, the authority will keep water supply shut for 24 hours once a week in different areas of Panvel and Uran talukas.
The decision follows a Maharashtra government resolution issued on October 5, 2026. The resolution asked water-supplying agencies to manage available reserves carefully and ensure drinking water availability until August 31, 2027.
The government's direction comes amid concerns over deficient rainfall and the possibility of water shortage in the coming months. In response, CIDCO has introduced a node-wise shutdown schedule to balance water demand with available resources.
Under the revised arrangement, each node has a fixed day with a 24-hour shutdown. On Monday, water will be off in Kharghar and New Panvel (East). On Tuesday, supply will be cut in Ulwe sectors 2, 3, 5, 6, 19, 20, 21, 23, 24 and 25A, including Gavhan, Koproli and Morave, along with New Panvel (West).
Kalamboli will have the shutdown on Wednesday and Karanjade on Thursday. On Friday, residents of Taloja, Kalundre and Kamothe will be without water.
Besides the one-day weekly shutdown, some areas of Ulwe and Dronagiri will get water on alternate days. In Ulwe, this will affect sectors 8, 9, 10B, 15C, 16, 17 and 18. Shelghar, Bamandongri, Nhava, Shivajinagar and Nhava Khadi are also included.
In Dronagiri, sectors 1, 2, 11, 12, 15, 30, 47, 48, 50, 51, 52, 53, 54 and 55 will get supply on alternate days. The same arrangement will cover Dhutum, Bhendkhal, Pagote, Funde, Navghar, Navghar Pada, Bokadvira and Kunde.
