In the viral video, Gupta's daughter is seen sitting in a car with several paparazzi gathered around it. The video shows her looking at the photographers and repeatedly making obscene gestures from inside the car. She then covered her face with a cloth. Viewers of the video are claiming that she appeared to be laughing even after covering her face.
The video also shows the car's driver trying to stop her from doing this. She is still seen making the gestures repeatedly. Once the video went viral, her conduct became a talking point on social media.
Many people commented on the video to express their anger. Some netizens have questioned why she was seen laughing and behaving this way after her father's death. Some have called her conduct improper and insensitive.
According to information provided by Mumbai Police, Gupta died late on Friday night at his home in Mumbai. He lost his balance at home and fell. He is reported to have fallen in the bathroom. He suffered a serious head injury in the accident and bled heavily. He died of this injury.
According to police, Gupta lived in his bungalow with his wife, two children and a domestic helper. Everyone in the house was asleep at the time of the accident, so the family learnt of it only on Saturday morning. The family has not expressed any suspicion in the matter and has not filed any complaint.
Gupta had made a distinct mark in the Hindi film industry as a director, producer and screenwriter. He was associated with the making of films such as "Dus Kahaniyaan", "Plan", "Woodstock Villa", "Acid Factory" and "Pankh". Action, the world of crime and thrilling stories were considered the hallmarks of his films. There is a feeling that Hindi cinema has lost a director of a distinct style.
