UP NEET PG counselling registration opens, last date October 26 at 11 am

The Directorate General of Medical Education, Uttar Pradesh, has released the dates for UP NEET PG 2026 counselling for admission in round 1. The counselling will be held online on the official website.

Candidates who have passed the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) postgraduate examination and want admission to MD and MS courses against the 50 per cent state quota seats in Uttar Pradesh must apply for counselling to secure a seat in the medical institute of their choice. The registration link for UP NEET PG counselling is live, so students can apply on the official website from today.

Registration began at 2 pm on October 21, 2026, and the last date is 11 am on October 26, 2026. Registration fee and security fee can be paid from October 21 to October 26, 2026. The merit list will be released on October 26, 2026. The last date for choice filling is October 30, 2026. The seat allotment result will be declared on November 2, 2026. Allotment letters and the admission process will run from November 3 to 7 and on November 12 and 13, 2026.

Students must have all the required documents to take part in the counselling. These include the NEET PG admit card, NEET PG scorecard, valid Class 10 and Class 12 marksheets and certificates, marksheets of all years of MBBS, the MBBS degree certificate or provisional certificate, the compulsory rotatory internship certificate, a valid photo ID, a category certificate, an Uttar Pradesh domicile certificate, the seat allotment letter, passport-size photographs and proof of payment of the counselling fee.

The registration fee for UP NEET PG counselling has been set at Rs 3,000. It is non-refundable. Candidates must also deposit a security fee, the amount of which may vary from college to college.

The counselling is being held for admission to state quota seats in government and private medical colleges, institutes and universities in Uttar Pradesh. Students in the state quota will get admission to programmes such as MD, MS, diploma and DNB.

To apply, first go to the website upneet.gov.in. Click the UP NEET PG counselling link there and fill in the form. After entering the required details, upload the documents asked for and then pay the application fee. Finally, check the form carefully and submit it. Download and keep a copy of the application and the fee receipt for future use.
