TVS iQube retained its lead in India's electric two-wheeler market in September 2026, topping the list of best-selling electric scooters. Bajaj Chetak held second place, while Hero Vida posted a sharp rise to take third.
According to AutoPundit data, total sales of the models on the list rose from 1,11,463 units in September 2025 to 1,86,693 units in September 2026, an increase of 67.5%. However, the figures do not cover the entire electric two-wheeler market. They are limited to the models on the list.
TVS iQube sold 45,320 units in September 2026, against 30,820 units in the same month last year, a year-on-year rise of 47%. Second-placed Bajaj Chetak sold 42,394 units, giving the iQube a lead of 2,926 units. TVS Orbiter also took fifth place with sales of 17,027 units. Together, iQube and Orbiter took TVS's sales on the list to 62,347 units.
Hero Vida sold 28,862 units in September, against 15,329 units in September 2025, an increase of 88.3% for the company's electric scooter. Vida recorded the highest annual growth among the top three models. Ather Rizta sold 19,813 units, 4.7% more than a year earlier.
River Indie sold 6,057 units, a year-on-year rise of 209%. Ampere Magnus was sixth with 10,532 units. Sales of the Ampere Reo rose 275.6% to 2,047 units. Honda QC1 sold 1,464 units. Large percentage gains draw attention, but such numbers can climb because of a low starting base.
The top five models accounted for 82.2% of total sales in these figures. This suggests customers are leaning more towards the leading scooters. Even so, the growth of the River Indie and Ampere models shows that competition is intensifying. Dispatch figures of some companies, such as Ola Electric, are not included in this data, so the ranking for the whole market could differ.
