In India's electric two-wheeler market, a low price alone is no longer enough. Customers are weighing good range, low running cost, smart features and a strong service network before choosing a scooter. In this contest, the TVS iQube has carved out a distinct identity. The scooter has touched the big figure of 10 lakh units sold in 2026, which has brought its popularity back into discussion.

The iQube's biggest strength is its range of battery options. The scooter comes with battery packs from 2.3 kWh to 5.3 kWh, five options in all. The top variant has an IDC range of up to 212 km, while the smaller-battery variant has a range of up to 114 km. Those who travel short distances daily and those who need more range can both pick a variant to suit their needs.

The biggest advantage of an electric scooter over a petrol one is its lower running cost. According to TVS, the iQube costs about Rs 0.18 per km, or 18 paise per km, to run. However, the actual cost depends on the electricity tariff, the way the scooter is charged and riding style, and can vary. With charging available at home, the scooter can suit a budget for daily use.

On features, the iQube offers a digital display, navigation, OTA updates, geofencing, hill-hold and Q-Park Assist. The company has offered five battery options keeping in mind the varying needs of customers. TVS's large service network is also an important plus point. The company claims more than 3,300 touchpoints in more than 3,000 cities.

The iQube's starting ex-showroom price is Rs 95,124, which includes the benefits available under PM E-DRIVE. The scooter was launched in 2020 and crossed 10 lakh unit sales in June 2026. It still faces stiff competition in the EV market from brands such as Bajaj Chetak, Ather and Ola. Its range, features, low running cost and service network will remain its real strengths.
