Triumph has announced its 2027 models in the premium motorcycle segment, offering a first look at three bikes: the Tiger 1200, Tiger 900 and Street Triple 798. According to the company, all three will get major updates to the engine, chassis and electronics.
The launch dates have also been announced. The Tiger 1200 will make its full debut on October 27, the Street Triple 798 on November 17 and the Tiger 900 on December 15. The three bikes are part of Triumph's four-model launch programme for the end of 2026.
The biggest engine update among the three will be in the Street Triple 798. The current 765cc engine will be replaced by a 798cc three-cylinder unit. The engine is linked to the race engine built for Triumph's 2027 Moto2 programme. Changes include a new cylinder head, a low-inertia valvetrain, a revised combustion chamber and greater port flow.
The Moto2 engine is about 2 kg lighter than the earlier unit, and its peak power is up by roughly 6%. Triumph has not yet made clear how many of these changes will reach the road bike.
The Street Triple 798 also looks changed in chassis and design. It has a new frame, a larger double-sided swingarm and an underbelly exhaust. The headlamp setup has changed significantly too, with a centre lamp and perimeter LED lighting. This gives the bike a more aggressive look than before.
The 2027 Tiger 1200 will retain its 1200cc three-cylinder engine. However, engine calibration has been changed, with an emphasis on higher output and better refinement. The bike will get Triumph's most advanced suspension system to date and new rider technology. A radar sensor is also visible at the front, so advanced safety features are expected.
The Tiger 900 will also receive engine, chassis and electronics updates. According to the company, the new model will get more power, better refinement, new-generation connectivity and upgraded rider technology as standard.
