Tiger Shroff car firing: accused allegedly scouted homes of top film stars before attack
Accused are alleged to have surveyed the homes of several leading actors before targeting Tiger Shroff, and four people have been arrested in Delhi over weapons supply.
The firing on the car of Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff has caused a stir in the film industry. The Mumbai Crime Branch and police are investigating the case. Questioning of the accused is reported to have brought out several startling details.
It is alleged that before targeting Tiger Shroff, the accused carried out a recce of the homes of leading actors such as Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan. The accused are said to have changed their plan on seeing tight security outside these homes, which the investigation is reported to have found.
According to the information available, the accused, named as Rihan, Hrithik and Phool Singh, inspected the homes of some well-known actors before firing on Tiger Shroff. It is also alleged that they sent videos of this recce to Anil Pandit, the alleged handler of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
On seeing tight security outside the homes of these actors, the accused dropped their intention to target them. They then chose a celebrity with less security, investigators suspect.
The accused are said to have been watching Tiger Shroff's every move. They had found out that he comes to play football at a park every Sunday evening and is mostly accompanied only by his driver. It is alleged that the recce was then carried out for seven days in a row, and the firing was carried out when an opportunity arose.
It has also emerged that the accused gathered information about Tiger Shroff from the internet. The investigation found that the plan was to approach his car on the pretext of taking a selfie and attack him. However, because of a crowd outside the park, the accused opened fire directly, it is suspected.
A fourth associate is also said to have been part of the conspiracy. He is reported to have fled in fear, on the pretext of smoking a cigarette, the night before the attack. All these claims need to be confirmed by the investigating agencies.
The probe into the supply of weapons is also important in this case. According to the information available, Delhi Police have arrested four people on the charge of delivering weapons to the shooters. They are said to include Kunal (21) and Sumit (19) of Sonipat, and Radha (23) and Babita (23).
According to the investigation, Radha and Babita came to Mumbai by train carrying lethal weapons. It is alleged that they handed these weapons over to the alleged handler of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. They are reported to have been arrested on their way back.
Mumbai Police have obtained three days of transit remand to question these accused. The investigating agencies are trying to find out who planned the firing, where the weapons came from and who is really behind the whole matter.
The alleged conspiracy behind the firing on Tiger Shroff's car and the claims about the recce of other Bollywood actors' homes have added to the seriousness of the case. Until the investigation is complete and official information emerges, however, these claims about the accused should be treated as allegations.
