Actor Tiger Shroff was targeted in a firing incident in Mumbai's Juhu area on Sunday evening, October 18, and the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has claimed it was behind the attack. One report says shots were fired at the actor's car. Another says he was injured, though this is described only as reported and has not been spelt out further.

The claim first surfaced in a social media post in the name of gangster Anil Pandit, who says he speaks for the Bishnoi gang and appears to take responsibility for the attack. An audio recording has also gone viral. In it, a man who calls himself Anil Pandit says: "I am Anil Pandit, Lawrence Bishnoi's younger brother. What happened with Tiger Shroff in Mumbai today, I, Anil Pandit, and my elder brother Harman Sandhu are taking responsibility for it. We had explained to him, but he did not understand. Anyone in the entire film industry who works with Salman Khan, we will finish him. This is the first and last warning."

The speaker then turns to Salman Khan himself: "If you do not apologise to my elder brother, Lawrence Bishnoi, or to the Bishnoi community, I will not spare even a dog in front of your house. We will destroy your entire family." He also says: "You think you have security, so nothing will happen to you. Right where your own security is, our man is sitting inside." That is the speaker's own assertion. No independent source has confirmed that the audio is genuine or whose voice it carries.

The threat has set off talk about which actors are now working with Salman and who could be at risk. Salman is currently in the news for 'Matrubhumi', directed by Apoorva Lakhia, in which Chitrangda Singh plays opposite him. The film was reportedly first titled 'Battle of Galwan' and was later renamed. Another Salman project, said to be called 'Monster', is also being discussed, although the producers have made no official announcement. Nayanthara is reportedly in the lead role and Vamshi Paidipally is said to be directing.

Concern over the safety of people in the entertainment world has grown. Earlier attacks or threats have been reported at places linked to AP Dhillon, Kapil Sharma, Rohit Shetty and Guru Randhawa. The gang has claimed responsibility for each of them, and in its latest statement it said such attacks on people working with Salman Khan will continue. Tiger Shroff's name has now been added to that list.

The incident has also drawn a political response. Congress MP Varsha Gaikwad attacked the government, saying: "This incident has once again raised serious questions about Mumbai's deteriorating security and law and order. Earlier we saw the firing outside Salman Khan's house. Unfortunately, Baba Siddique was shot dead. There was also firing outside Rohit Shetty's house... If even prominent people like politicians and actors are not safe here, who should the common man turn to?"

Gaikwad added: "This makes it clear that the Chief Minister holds too many portfolios and is overburdened with work. Maharashtra needs a separate, full-time Home Minister who is truly capable and strong... I demand once again: give the police its freedom, let it do its work, and stop the political pressure being exerted on it by the Home Department."
