Shots were fired at actor Tiger Shroff's car. Kota police arrested the accused in the case and then held a press conference to announce it. Mumbai Police Commissioner Deven Bharti has now put out a post with a veiled message, pointing to the race to claim credit.
In his post, Bharti wrote, "Success has many fathers, failures have none". That is, success has many claimants, while failure has none.
According to information available, the three attackers who targeted Shroff's vehicle boarded a train from Vasai to Jaipur on Sunday night. Owing to swift action by Mumbai Police, Rajasthan Police easily caught the three at Kota railway station at 10 am on Monday.
Mumbai Police had given Kota police key information for the entire operation. Even so, Kota police promptly called a press conference to claim that it alone had caught the accused.
After their arrest, the accused were to be taken to Mumbai. But Kota police produced them before the media and held a large press conference. Tejaswini Gautam, Superintendent of Police of Kota city and an IPS officer, addressed the press conference. Mumbai Police Commissioner Deven Bharti is reported to be annoyed by this.
It is being said that Bharti's post is aimed at Rajasthan Police. Gautam explained how her force laid a trap and caught the three accused. The press conference was shown live on all the major media channels in the country and on social media.
The question also arose as to what Bharti posted and what exactly the dispute is. Shots were fired at Shroff's vehicle. Mumbai Police investigated through CCTV footage and tracking, and found that the three accused had fled by train. Police gave Rajasthan Police the train number and coach details. The dispute over credit began after this.
The incident is recent. Firing took place on actor Tiger Shroff's vehicle and the Mumbai Crime Branch was investigating. The accused were absconding and had fled towards Rajasthan by train. Mumbai Police had passed this information to Rajasthan Police.
