The third young man seriously injured in the severe bike accident that took place on the night of 28 September in the Binba Gate area near Chandrapur city has also died. He breathed his last after midnight on Thursday. The deceased has been identified as Sahil Mahadev Burdkar, 20. He was being treated at NIMS hospital in Nagpur. With his death, the toll in the accident has risen to three, and a pall of gloom hangs over the entire Balaji Ward area.

According to the information available, three friends from Balaji Ward were returning on a bike from Chinchala towards Chandrapur city at around 7.30 pm on 28 September. The bike's number is stated to be MH 34 BU 6752. A pig suddenly came onto the road in front of Kumar Transport in the Shantidham area. The speeding bike rammed straight into the pig, the rider lost control of the vehicle and all three friends were thrown hard onto the road.

The accident was so horrific that Rohit Manoj Shinde (28), who was riding the bike, and Mayank Anup Sharma (30) died on the spot. Sahil Burdkar was seriously injured. On learning of the accident, people from the vicinity reached the spot and immediately admitted Sahil to a hospital. His condition was very critical, so he was taken to NIMS hospital in Nagpur for further treatment. Doctors there made every effort to save him, but he breathed his last late on Thursday night.

The three young men had grown up together from childhood and often went around together. The loss of all three friends in a single accident has plunged the three families into grief. People had barely recovered from the shock of the deaths of two friends when news of Sahil's death arrived. The residents of Balaji Ward are numb. The accident has once again shown how important it is to keep vehicle speed in check at night and to be wary of sudden hazards on the road.
