Two friends killed, one critical after triple-riding bike hits pig in Chandrapur
Two young men died on the spot and a third was seriously injured when their speeding bike struck a pig near Binba Gate in Chandrapur on September 28.
A tragic accident occurred in the Binba Gate area of Chandrapur on the night of September 28, when a pig suddenly came in front of a speeding motorcycle. Two friends died on the spot, while the third is seriously injured. The incident has cast a pall of grief over this area near the city and the whole of Balaji Ward.
According to information from the police, at around 7:30 pm on September 28, three friends from Balaji Ward were travelling on a single motorcycle from Chinchala towards Chandrapur city. The motorcycle's registration number was MH 34 BU 6752. It was moving at high speed. Near Shantidham, in front of Kumar Transport, a pig suddenly ran across the road.
The speeding motorcycle rammed into the pig. The rider lost control and all three friends were thrown onto the road. The accident was so severe that Rohit Manoj Shinde (28), who was riding the motorcycle, and Mayank Anup Sharma (30) died on the spot. Their friend Sahil Mahadev Burdkar (20) was seriously injured.
Local residents rushed to the spot immediately and informed the police. They also made every effort to take the injured to hospital. However, both men had died before any medical examination could be carried out. Sahil Burdkar is currently being treated at a private hospital. His condition is reported to be critical.
The three friends often spent time together and all live in Balaji Ward. Residents of the ward are grieving the loss of two of the three close friends.
