Selected players will get scholarships and free coaching for the coming season, and can play A Division matches for the Dadar club.

New and talented women cricketers will get a chance to show their game. The historic Shivaji Park Gymkhana (SPG) in Dadar has organised a special cricket selection trial camp for women above 15 years of age. The camp will let emerging and gifted players display their skills.

The trials will be held on November 5 and 6, 2026. Players must report at the Shivaji Park Gymkhana ground at 7.30 am on both days.

Shivaji Park Gymkhana has given Indian cricket many leading male cricketers. To carry this proud tradition forward and give women's cricket a new direction, the initiative is being launched. Talented, promising and gifted women cricketers will be identified and given good training and guidance from experts.

Players selected through the trials will receive a scholarship for the coming cricket season. They will also be given free, quality cricket coaching. The training season will begin on November 16, 2026. Women players will thus get a platform to improve their skills and move ahead in competitive cricket.

Selected players who meet the eligibility rules can represent Shivaji Park Gymkhana. They will be able to play in A Division cricket matches. Players who qualify under the eligibility criteria and rules of the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) can also take part in MCA tournaments.

Women cricketers above 15 are eligible for the trials. However, participants must reside within the jurisdiction of the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA). Players must wear a white cricket kit to the trials. As proof of age, they must bring a birth certificate or a photocopy of an Aadhaar card.

The main aim of the initiative is to find emerging talent in women's cricket, give it proper training and prepare players for high-level competitive cricket, Shivaji Park Gymkhana said.
