Actor Shraddha Kapoor joined lavani artistes in a fugdi on stage at the trailer launch of her film Eetha at Plaza Theatre in Dadar, Mumbai.

Actor Shraddha Kapoor is in the news for her upcoming film Eetha, whose trailer was released recently. A large launch event was held in Mumbai, and the ceremony took place today at Plaza Theatre in Dadar.

Kapoor's entry at the event was distinctive. She wore a traditional Marathi saree and arrived at the venue in a vintage car. Fans crowded the Dadar area to see her, and she waved to acknowledge their affection.

The most memorable moment of the event, however, was a different one. Some genuine lavani artistes had come to welcome her. A video of what Kapoor did with them is now going viral.

The video shows the lavani artistes welcoming Kapoor, and she responded to everyone with her characteristic coquettish grace. One of the artistes then urged her to dance a fugdi, and she did not refuse. She immediately took the artiste's hand and began dancing the fugdi on the stage.

Looking into each other's eyes, she danced with full energy. Everyone present applauded at her joy and enthusiasm. Kapoor is a big Bollywood star, but she showed no airs. People liked most that she mixed with the grassroots artistes and danced with them. The video is widely circulating on Instagram.

Eetha is no ordinary film. Kapoor plays Vithabai Narayangaonkar, one of Maharashtra's great tamasha artistes. Vithabai's name is highly respected in Maharashtra, and the film is based on her life.

Kapoor is not alone in the film. Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Siddharth Jadhav and Anant Joshi also play lead roles. It is directed by Laxman Utekar, known for Chhaava, and produced by Maddock Films and Dinesh Vijan.

The trailer has made audiences curious about the film. Kapoor has worked hard for the role and has learnt lavani and the dialect. In the trailer, she looks just like Vithabai.

The film will release in theatres on December 4, 2026. There is still time before release, but promotion has already begun in earnest. Launching the trailer in Dadar, among Marathi people, was a good idea. Audiences now only have to wait for the film.
