Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have begun net practice in New Zealand before the first of five ODIs against the hosts at Eden Park on November 4.

The last match of the five-match T20 series between India and New Zealand is being played today. India have already won the series 3-1. The ODI series will begin just three days after the T20 series ends.

Two senior members of the Indian team, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, have reached New Zealand for the ODI series. The two began preparations in Auckland two days ago. Photographs and videos of their net sessions have emerged, showing both working hard. In one video, Rohit and Virat are also seen laughing. Both are trying to adjust to conditions in New Zealand and have been practising for long hours.

The question now is when the two will take the field. India and New Zealand will play a series of five ODIs. Rohit and Virat will be seen playing against New Zealand at Eden Park in Auckland on November 4, 2026. The two teams will play five ODIs within 11 days. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are fit at present and are available for all five matches.

Some players begin preparing for a Test series after the first three ODIs. But Rohit and Virat have retired from Test cricket, so they will stay with the Indian team for the fourth and fifth ODIs as well.

The full schedule of the ODI series is as follows. The first ODI will be played at Eden Park, Auckland, on November 4, 2026. The second ODI will be played at Sky Stadium, Wellington, on November 7, 2026. The third ODI will be at Seddon Park, Hamilton, on November 10, 2026. The fourth ODI will be played at Bay Oval, Mount Maunganui, on November 13, 2026. The fifth ODI will be played at the same venue, Bay Oval, Mount Maunganui, on November 15, 2026.

The fifth and final ODI will be played on November 15. Only four days later, a Test series of two matches will begin between the two teams. India have won the T20 series and will now aim to win the ODI and Test series as well.
