India, who have already won the five-match series, play New Zealand in the fourth T20 at Eden Park, Auckland, tomorrow, with Abhishek Sharma 35 runs short of a record.

The fourth match of the five-match T20 series between India and New Zealand will be played tomorrow at Eden Park in Auckland. India have already won the series, so the match is a chance for New Zealand to save face at home. They need to win it, and the contest is being seen as extremely important for them.

All eyes will be on India's hard-hitting opener Abhishek Sharma, who is in tremendous form. In the third match he played an aggressive innings and scored a century, hitting 113 off 38 balls.

In the fourth T20 in Auckland, Abhishek has the chance to set a new record. He needs just 35 runs for it. As soon as he makes 35, he will become the batter with the most runs in T20 internationals in 2026.

The record for the most runs in T20 cricket in 2026 currently belongs to India's Ishan Kishan. Given the form Abhishek is in, however, Kishan's record could soon be broken.

Going by the way Abhishek has been batting, it looks clear that it will not be easy for New Zealand to stop India.

The Indian squad is: Sanju Samson (wicketkeeper), Abhishek Sharma, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Shreyas Iyer (captain), Tilak Varma, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Naman Dhir, Axar Patel, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Arshdeep Singh, Prince Yadav, Shivam Dube, Kuldeep Yadav, Varun Chakravarthy, Kumar Kushagra and Mayank Yadav.

The New Zealand squad includes Tim Seifert (wicketkeeper), Finn Allen, Daryl Mitchell, Glenn Phillips, Bevon Jacobs, Michael Bracewell, Mitchell Santner (captain), Nathan Smith, Jacob Duffy, Kyle Jamieson, Adam Milne, Blair Tickner, Matt Fisher and Devon Conway.
