The world premiere of "Ramayana: Rise of a Legend", directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, will be held at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles. The makers said a total of 945 guests will attend the event on October 27.

The premiere is scheduled at the museum's David Geffen Theater, a venue known for the history of world cinema, the quality of filmmaking and the art of cinema. The premiere of an Indian film at such a venue is being seen as significant for the Indian entertainment industry.

Audience curiosity has grown with every glimpse, from the teaser to the trailer. Along with its grandeur, strong cast and striking visuals, the film's fidelity to the original story of the Ramayana is being described as a key attraction. It is said that the makers have seen the project not merely as entertainment but as a responsibility to honour Indian culture and tradition.

The premiere will bring the colour of Indian culture and Diwali to Los Angeles. So that the red carpet also reflects Indian tradition, the makers have asked guests to come in traditional Indian festive attire.

Well-known Hollywood personalities, filmmakers, representatives of international media and several veterans of the film industry will be present. The event will give the film a chance to present the grandeur and cultural heritage of Indian cinema to audiences around the world.

The premiere will be in 3D. The technology will let viewers experience the depth, grandeur and finer details of the film's scenes more effectively, with the aim of letting audiences feel the world of the Ramayana up close. The makers have appealed to audiences in India and around the world to watch the film in 3D. Advance booking worldwide will begin on October 20.

The film has been produced by Namit Malhotra's Prime Focus Studios together with DNEG and Yash's Monster Mind Creations. DNEG has won eight Oscars. The film will be released in two parts.
