Prime Minister Narendra Modi pressed a button in Banaskantha to release the 24th instalment of PM-Kisan, transferred directly to eligible farmers' bank accounts.
The wait for the 24th instalment of the PM-Kisan scheme is over, with the money now credited to farmers' accounts. Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent the amount directly to farmers' accounts from Gujarat.
The amount was transferred directly through DBT. It has reached only the accounts of farmers who are eligible under the scheme.
The event took place on October 30, 2026. At about 10:30 am, Modi visited the Embryo Transfer Technology-In Vitro Fertilisation lab and the animal farm of the Bharat Bovine Breeding and Research Centre in Banaskantha, Gujarat. At about 11:30 am, he laid the foundation stone of development projects worth more than Rs 14,000 crore in Banaskantha, inaugurated some and dedicated them to the nation. He then pressed a button to release the 24th instalment of Rs 19,000 crore under the PM-Kisan scheme.
The 24th instalment was thus credited to every eligible farmer's account at 11:30 am. Through this instalment, more than Rs 18,690 crore was transferred directly to the bank accounts of more than 9.34 crore farmers across the country. Farmers who have not yet checked their accounts should do so.
Eligible farmers whose accounts have not received the money can check the status of the 24th instalment from home. They should first visit the official PM-Kisan website, pmkisan.gov.in, open the Farmers Corner on the homepage and click on Know Your Status. They should then enter their registration number and the captcha shown on the screen, and confirm their identity with the requested details and an OTP. This may show whether the payment has been released or is pending.
Farmers should confirm that the money has actually arrived through an SMS, a mobile banking app, a passbook update or the bank branch. Payment Released showing on the portal alone does not mean the money has reached the account.
If the payment status is not visible or the instalment is stuck, farmers should first check their e-KYC and land records. They can call the helpline numbers 155261 or 011-24300606 for help. Information is also available from the Kisan e-Mitra chatbot on the PM-Kisan portal.
