Neha Bora, national president of the All India Student Association, has warned the Centre in no uncertain terms from Delhi. She said the government cannot end this fight by sending two members of the movement into custody and by placing protesters under house arrest or taking action against them. According to her, the movement will go on.
On Wednesday morning, CJP spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka and Saurav Das were arrested in connection with hoisting the tricolour at Jantar Mantar. In protest against the arrests, CJP and Neha Bora's organisation held a joint press conference today. Speaking there, Neha Bora launched a strong attack on the Centre.
Neha Bora said, "This movement against SIR, to remove those in power from their chairs, does not belong to any party or any one person. It is the movement of the common man of this country. At Jantar Mantar in Delhi, at Freedom Park in Karnataka and at Azad Maidan in Mumbai, this movement is alive even today."
She went on to say that Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka have not merely been given five days in custody; the voice of the entire country's right to vote has been sent into custody. She said that when ordinary citizens are dragged on the streets of Delhi, it is not just the person protesting there but the 13 crore people who have been removed from the electoral rolls who are being dragged onto the streets.
Neha Bora also said the Centre has made every effort to protect Gyanesh Kumar. Young people fighting to save democracy were dragged on the streets. She asked why Gyanesh Kumar is so important to the Prime Minister.
Abhijit Dipke said on the occasion that in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the difference between the BJP and the INDIA bloc's victory was only 2 per cent. More than 13 crore votes have been deleted in the past two years. Going by the 2024 electoral rolls, these 13 crore votes make up 14 per cent. He asked what this is, if not vote theft.
Dipke said the slogan of One Nation One Election is raised, but behind it the government's aim is One Nation One Party. According to him, all of this is going on only to make one party win. He said Narendra Modi has turned into a dictator but does not have the courage to impose an Emergency. He said the whole country and the whole world have seen his true face, and that Narendra Modi is a cowardly dictator.
Abhijit Dipke said that yesterday Ashutosh and Saurav were sent into custody merely for hoisting the tricolour. He asked since when hoisting the tricolour has become a crime.
