A case has come to light in Nagpur in which a young woman was lured with the promise of a government job, made to take part in obscene conversation, and her video was then circulated on social media.
Tehsil police have registered a case against five accused from different states. Police suspect that some more people may be involved. The accused have been named as Irfan Ali (35, Rajasthan), Narendra Meena (40, Lucknow), Nitin Jain (27, Shahdol, Madhya Pradesh), Kiran Mittal (37, Chandigarh) and Payal alias Destiny (34, Panaji, Goa). The incident is said to have taken place between November 5, 2025 and October 13, 2026.
According to the complaint, the woman came to know the accused Irfan Ali through an online platform. It is alleged that at Irfan's urging she downloaded an application named "Mika" and increased her contact with him. Irfan then told her that he knew a senior leader of an organisation in Uttar Pradesh. He promised to arrange a meeting with that leader and to get her a government job through his contacts.
It is also alleged that on this pretext Irfan obtained the woman's educational documents. After luring her with the job, he held obscene conversation with her over the phone and enticed her into virtual sexual relations. An obscene video of the woman was subsequently circulated on social media.
The woman suffered physical and mental distress because of the episode. On her complaint, Tehsil police have registered a case against all five accused. Police are now closely examining the role of other suspects in the racket.
