Nagpur man booked under POCSO for molesting 10-year-old niece at his home in Nandanvan

Nagpur: A case has come to light in the Nandanvan area in which a man is accused of indecent behaviour with a 10-year-old girl, the husband of her maternal aunt.

The accused allegedly called the girl to him on the pretext of showing her cartoons on a mobile phone and then behaved indecently with her. On the complaint of the girl's mother, police have registered a case against him under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

On Monday evening, the girl had gone to play at the house of the 40-year-old accused. There, he called her close on the pretext of showing her cartoons on his mobile phone and behaved indecently with her.

Shaken by the incident, the girl went home and told her family what had happened. The mother then lodged a complaint at Nandanvan police station. Police have registered a case under the POCSO Act.
