Murud taluka invites applications for 11 kotwal posts; last date October 17

The official notification for direct recruitment to the posts of revenue servant (kotwal) in Murud taluka of Raigad district for 2026 has been issued. The process began after directions from the Revenue and Forest Department of the Maharashtra government and special approval to fill vacancies in Murud taluka.
A total of 11 vacant posts will be filled, including social and parallel reservation. According to the notification, 2 posts are reserved for Scheduled Castes, 1 for Nomadic Tribes (B), 2 for SEBC, 2 for Other Backward Classes (OBC), 2 for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and 4 for the open, or unreserved, category. The notification also says the number of posts or the reservation may increase or decrease.
On eligibility, candidates must have passed at least Class 4 and must know Marathi. On October 2, 2026, the date of publication of the notification, candidates of all categories must be at least 18 years and at most 40 years old. As the post of kotwal is non-classified, no age relaxation is available other than for social, economic and women's reservation. The applicant must also be a resident of Murud taluka.
Interested and eligible candidates must obtain the prescribed form from the office of the Tehsildar, Murud, by paying Rs 50 in cash. Attested copies of all required documents must be attached to the form. The filled form must be submitted in person at the Tehsil Office, Murud, during office hours by October 17, 2026. Applications sent by post or email will not be considered. In addition, the open category must pay an examination fee of Rs 500 in cash and candidates from backward classes Rs 300.
The key dates are as follows. The last date for applications is October 17, 2026. Scrutiny of applications will run from October 18 to November 1, 2026. Admit cards are to be collected from the Tehsil Office, Murud, between November 4 and November 10, 2026. The written examination will be held on November 15, 2026, and the result and answer key will be announced the next day, November 16, 2026. Document verification will take place from November 17 to November 27, 2026, and appointment letters will be distributed on November 28, 2026.
