Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff has been the target of a murderous attack in Mumbai. Kota police in Rajasthan have detained three suspected accused from a train in connection with the case. The three were reportedly preparing to flee Mumbai for Nepal. It has also emerged that one of the accused was in contact with the Lawrence gang.
According to the information available, Shroff was returning in his car after playing football when he was attacked. The assailants targeted the car and fired a full 7 rounds. The actor and his driver were injured. After the firing, the attackers fled the spot. It is alleged that the three then reached Andheri, abandoned their bike at Andheri railway station and boarded a train towards Rajasthan.
Rajasthan Police and the Anti-Gangster Task Force acted together after receiving precise inputs from Mumbai Police. The accused were travelling in the general coach of a Pune-Jaipur train to Delhi, from where they planned to escape to Nepal. As soon as the train reached Kota railway station, police laid a trap and detained all three.
One of the three is Ritik Kumar, alias Roshan, 22, a resident of Begusarai in Bihar, who works as a bike rider in Mumbai. The second accused is Rehan, 18, from Sonipat in Haryana. The third accused is a minor, also from Haryana. According to the information available, one of them was in contact with Anil Pandit of the notorious Lawrence gang. To evade police scrutiny, they spoke to Anil Pandit continuously through the Signal app.
Sources said the shooters had carried out a recce not only on the day of the attack but for the past 20 days, covering Shroff's house, his gym and places he frequents. They were closely tracking the actor's every movement and schedule through paparazzi and bloggers on social media. However, the weapons used in the crime have not yet been recovered from them.
The injured driver, Umesh Chauhan, was first admitted to Cooper Hospital in Juhu for treatment. He was then moved to KEM Hospital in Mumbai for further treatment at midnight on October 19, 2026. According to doctors, the bullet has had no serious effect on his heart or lungs. His condition is currently stable (haemodynamically stable), and he is being treated in the emergency ICU under the care of the cardiovascular and thoracic surgery team. Police are investigating the case more closely, and the search for the main mastermind continues.
