Three accused wanted in Lucknow murder case detained in Nagpur's Beltarodi area

Three accused wanted in the Shiva Sharma murder case in Lucknow have been caught by police in Nagpur. A joint team of Nagpur Crime Branch and Lucknow Police detained Shraddha Dubey, Rashmi Dubey and Danish alias Tanveer Ali from the Beltarodi police station area. Uttar Pradesh Police had announced a reward of Rs 50,000 each on the three.

According to police, Shiva Sharma was murdered on October 9, 2026. A case has been registered at Hazratganj police station in Lucknow. Police said the three wanted accused had come to Nagpur from Uttar Pradesh after the crime. On receiving information from Uttar Pradesh Police, Nagpur Crime Branch began searching for them.

During the investigation, police traced a car registered in Uttar Pradesh, bearing the number UP 78 FX 1678. Police found the vehicle in the Ganeshpeth area and questioned its driver. The driver told police he had brought two burqa-clad women and a man from Kanpur to Nagpur on hire.

After getting this information, police began tracing the accused's movements using CCTV footage and other technical evidence. Police also tracked the movement of an e-rickshaw on cameras. The links fell into place, and the investigation led through Chinchbhuvan to the Beltarodi area.

To reach the accused, police went through footage from about 200 to 250 CCTV cameras. Artificial intelligence (AI) was also used along with technical investigation. The joint team then learned that the accused were in the Progen Claim Society in the Beltarodi police station area. The team acted together there and detained all three.

Coordination between Nagpur Crime Branch and Lucknow Police was key to the operation. CCTV footage, technical investigation and AI were all used to find the accused.

For now, further legal action against the three detained accused is being taken by Uttar Pradesh Police. Investigation into the other aspects of the Shiva Sharma murder case also continues.
