AI tools often fail to give the answer we want. The reason is usually that the information we gave them was not clear. Those who know how to write an AI prompt can get more accurate answers from artificial intelligence. The information given to an AI is called a "prompt". The clearer and more precise the prompt, the more useful the answer.

Whatever we write to assign a task to AI tools such as ChatGPT, Google Gemini and Microsoft Copilot is called a prompt. For instance, instead of just saying "write me a news story", a better draft can be obtained if the subject of the story, the word limit, the language and the style of writing are specified.

Tip one: Ask clear and precise questions. Instead of giving the AI muddled information, say plainly what you need. For example, instead of "give information on technology", write "explain five reasons why a mobile phone's battery drains quickly, in simple Marathi".

Tip two: State the purpose of the answer. Say whether you need the information for an article or for students' studies. This helps the AI understand the right direction for the answer.

Tip three: Specify the language and the word limit. Give instructions such as "write a 400-word article in simple Marathi", "use short paragraphs" or "give the information with subheadings". This ensures that the text is prepared to suit your requirement.

Tip four: Explain with examples. If you want an article in a particular style, spell out its features clearly. For instance, you can say, "begin the news story with the most important event and then give the background".

Tip five: Ask the AI to verify its answer. For the latest news, government schemes, figures and technical information, instruct it to check reliable sources. But it is essential to separately verify the answer the AI has given.

Here is an example of a good prompt: "Write a 400-word informative article in Marathi on mobile security. Use an attractive headline, three subheadings and simple language. Do not make claims without evidence, and suggest official sources for key facts." Giving instructions this way helps the AI understand what kind of writing is wanted.

Some caution is also needed while using AI. Information received from AI is not always correct. So check the important claims. Avoid sharing personal information or confidential documents.

All in all, getting a good answer from AI does not require an expensive tool or technical knowledge. If these three things are remembered, a clear purpose, precise instructions and proper verification, AI can be used more effectively.
