Honda has unveiled its new CB250SS Concept motorcycle at the CIMA motorcycle show in Chongqing, China. The bike blends neo-retro design with scrambler styling and has drawn the attention of biking enthusiasts. It has a 249cc engine, a round TFT display, Honda RoadSync connectivity and gold-finished front forks. The company has not yet given any official information on whether the bike will come to India or remain limited to China.

In design, the CB250SS combines classic and modern styling. The round TFT display, the eye-catching body design and the gold-finished upside-down front forks give the bike a premium look. The gold finish was visible on the engine and forks of the model displayed at the show, but it does not appear in the company's official renders. It will therefore be important to see what changes are actually made in the production model.

The bike has a 249cc liquid-cooled engine. According to Honda, the engine is tuned to deliver good torque at low rpm and smooth power delivery when accelerating. The company has not yet released official power and torque figures. The engine technology is expected to be similar to that of the CM250, CB250R and Rebel 250 models, but it is not clear which specification will be used for the CB250SS.

For rider comfort, the bike gets a Pro-Link multi-link rear suspension, an assist and slipper clutch, and second-generation Honda RoadSync connectivity. The company claims the frame is light and more agile. It runs on 17-inch alloy wheels at both front and rear. Going by the short-travel suspension and road-oriented footpegs, the bike appears better suited to city commuting and stylish road riding than to very tough off-roading.

The concept bike has an exhaust system with a catalytic converter that looks road-ready. For this reason, a production model is believed to be possible. Sales in China could begin in spring 2027, but this is not an official date. Honda's announcement on the India launch, price and confirmed features is awaited.
