Changing lifestyles, rising pollution and stress show on the skin as well as the body. Problems such as pimples, dark spots, wrinkles and pigmentation begin to increase. In the early days, few people pay attention to these skin troubles, and gradually the face is badly affected.

Only a few days remain until Diwali. During the festive season, people get facials or cleanups to bring a glow to the skin. But the glow lasts only a short time, and after a few days the skin returns to how it was. Expensive creams and chemical treatments sold in the market are also not always good for the skin. If the following home remedies for dark spots are tried, the face can look considerably fresh and radiant before Diwali.

The first remedy comes from Ayurveda, in which liquorice (mulethi) is highly valued. Its beneficial compounds help reduce tan on the face. To reduce pigmentation, a face pack made with liquorice should be applied. Take liquorice powder in a bowl and mix in curd. After mixing the paste well, apply it with a brush on the whole face and neck and leave it for a while. When the pack dries completely, wash the skin with water. Applying it two or three times a week will help reduce tan.

Rice, potato and beetroot can be used to brighten darkened skin. To make the face pack, boil rice, potato, tomato and beetroot together. Mash the boiled mixture, tie it in a cotton cloth, dip it in raw milk and apply it on the whole face. This cleans the skin deeply and draws out the dirt that collects in the pores. Expensive products are not always needed to improve skin tone. Items in the kitchen can also help remove tan and dark spots.

As pigmentation increases on the face, itching and burning can also increase. Tulsi (holy basil) leaf water is beneficial on sensitive skin. For this, soak 20 tulsi leaves in water in a glass bowl overnight. In the morning, apply the water on the whole face with cotton and leave it for a while. This will help reduce dark spots and the face will look clearer.
