Electric two-wheeler maker E-Sprinto will add dealers in two phases to expand retail sales after launching its B2C scooter, the E-Sprinto G1.

Electric two-wheeler maker E-Sprinto has announced a two-phase plan to strengthen its dealer network across the country and increase retail sales. The company has set a target of adding more than 200 dealers nationwide by the end of financial year 2028.

The company says it has established itself in the business-to-business segment, with more than 70,000 vehicles on the road. It is now expanding its retail network rapidly with the launch of its new B2C electric scooter, the E-Sprinto G1.

In the first phase, E-Sprinto will build its network in the large markets of north, south and west India. The company will add about 20 new dealers in north India, 15 in south India and 15 in west India. Cities such as Delhi-NCR, Jaipur, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Pune will be taken up first. The aim of this phase is to have more than 50 dealers across India by March 2027.

In the second phase, the company will enter the emerging markets of central and eastern India. The network will be extended to cities such as Bhopal, Gwalior, Indore, Kolkata and Bhubaneswar. Moving step by step in this way, E-Sprinto aims to build a strong network of more than 200 dealers across the country by the end of financial year 2028.

Commenting on the expansion plan, E-Sprinto co-founder Shalu Gupta said: "For us, building a dealer network is not just about entering new markets. It means partnering with people who understand the needs of local customers and can stay with them through the whole journey of EV ownership. Our entire focus is on '3S', that is sales, service and spares. To give customers an excellent ownership experience, we are keeping our production capacity and dealer network in step."

The expansion comes soon after the recent launch of the E-Sprinto G1 B2C electric scooter. The scooter has a starting price of Rs 89,999 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Developed after about two years of research and development, it has been designed around the everyday needs of Indian commuters. It offers different riding modes, battery options and features that emphasise practicality.

On the production side, the company currently has three manufacturing plants with an annual capacity of 1.5 lakh units. According to the company, this base gives it a strong footing to expand from the B2B segment into B2C.
