A special music programme will be held at Ravindra Natya Mandir in Prabhadevi, Mumbai, on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at 7 pm. Titled 'Devsakha - Ek Surila Samvad... Bhakta aur Dev Ke Beech Ka...', it will present the emotional bond between devotee and deity, the rich tradition of saint literature and devotional music. Entry is free for music lovers.

The programme is being organised by the Directorate of Cultural Affairs, Maharashtra State, Mumbai, under the Cultural Affairs Department of the Government of Maharashtra.

According to the organisers, the relationship between devotee and deity is as personal as it is universal. 'Devsakha' is a musical journey that opens up this world of emotion and preserves its richness. The programme centres on the devotion of the saint tradition of Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj, Sant Tukaram Maharaj, Sant Janabai and Sant Namdev Maharaj.

The presentation is by Prachi Kokil-Marathe, with Datta Mestri as co-singer. The music arrangement is by Vinay Cheulkar. Accompanying musicians are Akshay Kawle on keyboard, Himanshu Ginde on flute, Mayuresh Sherlekar and Aditya Athalye on tabla, Jayant Bagade on pakhawaj and Chetan Parab on percussion. Siddharth Deshpande will anchor the programme, and the script is by Pratima Kulkarni.

The cultural initiative has been conceived by Adv. Ashish Shelar, Minister for Cultural Affairs, Electronics, Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence. It is being held under the guidance of Dr Kiran Kulkarni, Secretary of the Cultural Affairs Department. The Directorate of Cultural Affairs is running several initiatives to preserve, nurture and spread Maharashtra's saint literature, devotional music and cultural tradition.

Prashant Khedekar, Director of the Directorate of Cultural Affairs, has appealed to music lovers to attend in large numbers and enjoy this evening of saint literature and devotional music.
