An engineer has been accused of killing his own mother in Amravati city, sending shock waves through the neighbourhood. According to the police's preliminary information, the son was angry over his mother lying about something, and the killing followed. The son has been named as the suspected accused in the case.

The incident took place at a flat in Gajanan Plaza Apartment on Navsari Ring Road in Amravati. A 65-year-old woman was found strangled to death. The deceased has been identified as Ranjana Satish Kanphade, while the suspected accused son is Tushar Satish Kanphade.

Tushar works as an engineer with a well-known company in Pune. He was working from home at present, that is, working from the house itself. It has also been said that only the mother and son lived in the flat.

Gadge Nagar police have said in their preliminary information that the son killed his mother because of her lying. The police have described this as the primary information on the motive.

The most startling aspect is that Tushar did not flee after the killing. According to the information, he kept sitting on a chair next to his dead mother. It has also emerged that the accused was present at the spot after the incident.

Police have taken the accused into custody. Gadge Nagar police are investigating what the actual reason behind the killing was. The investigation is continuing and the police are making further inquiries into the incident.
