NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar) president Sharad Pawar was discharged on Wednesday after treatment for chest congestion and weakness during a drought-inspection tour.
Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) president Sharad Pawar was discharged from Ruby Hall Clinic hospital in Pune on Wednesday, November 4. He had been undergoing treatment there for the past two days. A change in weather had caused phlegm in his chest. Doctors examined him and then allowed him to go home. His condition is now fine.
Pawar was on a tour to inspect drought conditions. The heat and a sudden spell of rain changed the weather, and he developed phlegm. He also began to feel weak and tired. His drought-inspection tour was therefore cancelled, and all his other scheduled programmes were also called off.
He was then admitted to Ruby Hall for treatment. Treatment began immediately and various tests were also carried out. Doctors had advised two days of rest. As his condition stabilised, he was discharged after two days. Doctors have again advised him to rest at the time of discharge.
MP Supriya Sule came to the hospital to take Pawar home. From the hospital, Pawar is heading straight to Mumbai. From Pune he will go to his residence, Silver Oak, in Mumbai, where he is expected to rest for the next few days. MP Supriya Sule will be with him.
After the discharge, Pawar came out of the hospital. He was brought out in a wheelchair. Party workers and office-bearers were standing outside, and Pawar raised his hands on seeing them. A photograph of this has surfaced. He then got into a car and left for Mumbai. Pratibha Pawar and MP Supriya Sule were with him.
Before leaving the hospital, Supriya Sule thanked the hospital's doctors and all the staff with folded hands.
