Sharad Pawar admitted to Ruby Hall Clinic in Pune after cough and weakness

Veteran leader Sharad Pawar's health has deteriorated, and he has been admitted to Ruby Hall Clinic in Pune on the advice of doctors. Medical sources said he was admitted after he developed a cough and a feeling of weakness.

Supriya Sule posted about the matter on social media on November 2, 2026. She wrote that her father had been admitted to Ruby Hall Clinic in Pune because of a cough. His medical tests are under way and all his health parameters are stable, Sule wrote. She also thanked everyone who had expressed concern and good wishes. Sources said various tests would be carried out on Pawar at the hospital. Doctors had advised him to be admitted as he had a cough and had begun to feel weak, and he was then admitted.

On Saturday, October 31, and Sunday, November 1, during a tour of Solapur district, Pawar had visited Tulshi village in Madha taluka and Dudhali village in Pandharpur taluka. In Tulshi he had reviewed the drought situation. He had interacted with farmers there and listened to their problems, and had promised to raise these problems with the government.

His drought tour scheduled for today, however, was cancelled. It had been cancelled citing adverse weather conditions, though it is being said that it was called off because Pawar's health had worsened. Pawar then travelled from Solapur to Pune, and was admitted to hospital as his condition worsened.

Karmala MLA Narayan Patil of the Sharad Pawar faction gave details about the tour. He said Pawar will inspect the drought situation in Karmala taluka after Diwali. Patil said the tour was cancelled because of heavy rain in the Baramati and Bhigwan areas last night. Stating that Pawar will surely carry out the inspection in Karmala after Diwali, Patil had also clarified that he had gone to Karmala after meeting Pawar and was making preparations for the tour.
