Pune Rural Police have registered a case against four people for allegedly running an illegal dance bar under the cover of a live orchestra in Sate village of Maval taluka. It is alleged that women were performing obscene dances there while customers showered money on them. All this was allegedly captured on CCTV footage, after which the police took action.

The four named in the case are the bar owner, an orchestra manager and two waiters.

The action began with a tip-off received on Friday night. Vadgaon Maval police inspector Shankar Patil was informed that around eight women were performing obscene dances on a stage and customers were throwing money at them.

A police team was sent to the spot on receiving the information. However, a police officer said that by the time the policemen reached, the women had already left and the customers had begun to leave as well.

The investigators then asked the bar owner for the CCTV footage of October 22 and 23. According to the officer, the footage allegedly shows women dancing in an obscene manner. In it, a customer hands money to a waiter, and the waiter showers the same money on the dancing women.

In connection with these alleged illegal activities, the police have registered a case against the four.
