Crowds have built up at Swargate ST station in Pune as Diwali holidays begin, and the ST corporation has arranged extra buses.

Diwali holidays have begun in Pune, and crowds of passengers heading to their villages have started building up at the Swargate ST station. Students, working people and their families who live in Pune for study and jobs are preparing to go to their native villages for the festival. As a result, passengers have been seen moving through the station since morning.

During Diwali, many people are choosing to travel by ST bus rather than private vehicles. The ST is being chosen especially for long journeys, so long queues have formed at the reservation counters. Passengers are also crowding the enquiry counters to find out bus timetables, available seats and to plan their journeys.

Students who have come to Pune to study and employees of various private companies are leaving for their villages after working out their Diwali leave. As a result, the number of passengers arriving at Swargate station with luggage has gone up. Many people travelling with their families are also seen. People have planned to go to their villages to celebrate Diwali with their families.

Given the rising number of passengers, the ST Mahamandal has arranged additional buses for Diwali. The Mahamandal is stressing safe and easy travel for passengers on crowded days. The crowd at the bus station is likely to continue for the next few days because of the holidays.

As the number of people going to their villages is growing, booking ST bus seats in advance will be beneficial. Passengers who wish to avoid a last-minute scramble and crowds for tickets should plan their journeys early and reserve tickets soon.
