The mid-range phone is priced at 2,499 yuan, about Rs 36,000, for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant; no India launch date has been given.

Xiaomi has added another smartphone to its Redmi M series. The phone is called the Redmi M100 Pro and falls in the mid-range category. The company has launched it only in China for now, and it has also been listed on Xiaomi's online store.

In China, the phone is priced at 2,499 yuan, or about Rs 36,000. The price is for the variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. Customers can buy the phone in four colours: black, white, cyan and purple.

The company has not yet given any information on when the phone will launch in India and other global markets. For now, it is said to remain limited to China. On hardware, the specifications of the Redmi M100 Pro closely resemble those of the Redmi Note 14 Pro sold in global markets. The phone is therefore being seen as a "rebranded" model of the Redmi Note series.

The Redmi M100 Pro has a 6.67-inch curved OLED display with support for a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. Peak brightness can go up to 3,000 nits. Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protects the screen.

For performance, the phone has the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Ultra processor, paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It runs on HyperOS.

The phone has a triple camera setup: a 50MP primary camera with OIS support, an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro camera. A 20MP front camera is provided for selfies and video calling.

The battery is 5,500mAh and supports 45W wired fast charging. The phone also gets stereo speakers, an X-axis linear motor, an in-display fingerprint sensor, an IR blaster and NFC support. It also has an IP68 rating for protection against water and dust.
