Xiaomi 17T price raised by Rs 5,000 again; 256GB variant now Rs 69,999
Xiaomi has raised the price of the 17T by Rs 5,000 for the second time since its June launch in India, just ahead of the festive season.
Buyers planning to purchase Xiaomi's new smartphone, the Xiaomi 17T, have been hit with another price rise. The company is reported to have raised the price of the phone by Rs 5,000 once again.
The company launched the smartphone in India in June. In July, it decided to raise the price by Rs 5,000, so the price went up within a month of the launch. The company has now raised it by another Rs 5,000.
The phone was launched in India in two variants: 12GB RAM with 256GB storage, and 12GB RAM with 512GB storage. The prices of both variants had been raised by Rs 5,000 earlier and have now been raised again.
The 256GB variant was launched at Rs 59,999. In July, the company raised its price by Rs 5,000 to Rs 64,999. After the latest increase, buyers will have to pay Rs 69,999 for this variant.
The 512GB variant was launched at Rs 64,999. In July, the company raised its price to Rs 69,999. It has now gone up again, and buyers will have to pay Rs 74,999. Since launch, the price of both variants has risen by Rs 10,000.
The increase is harder on buyers because smartphones usually carry discounts during sales and the festive season, giving customers a chance to buy at lower prices. This time, prices have gone up just ahead of the festivals.
As for the phone's features, the smartphone, launched in June, has a 6.59-inch AMOLED display and the MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra processor. Buyers can choose from black, blue and violet colour options.
